ZOLTAN LONOVICS

Zoltán Lonovics was born in 1979 in Békéscsaba. He began his artistic studies at the Tömörkény István Art Vocational High School in Szeged. During his studies at the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design in Budapest, he became the art director of the magazine the Room, a bilingual publication edited in Budapest, which showcased the most significant achievements in contemporary art and fashion. The magazine was also published in major European cities and New York, and Lonovics Zoltán received the Hungarian Design Award in 2008 for its visual identity. The second issue of the magazine was also presented at the Hungarian Institute in New York. Zoltán Lonovics has long been a defining figure in the creative industry. He always strives to depict new, attention-grabbing, fresh, and prospective content. He has designed several exhibition identities and book designs for the Műcsarnok (Na mi van? What’s Up?, Behind the Counter) and redesigned László Beke’s book Imagination/Idea on behalf of the German publisher JRP-Ringier. Since 2013, he has been the artistic director of Móra Publishing House.
